In the February 2010 release we have added a new and exciting capability: correcting your code automatically with Panaya Automatic Code Correction.

Aimed at dramatically reducing the time and effort involved in upgrades to ERP 6, Panaya now automatically creates corrections for upgrade-related defects in custom code. On average, 67% of these defects can be fixed automatically with Panaya.

Some details about Automatic Code Correction:

• Code corrections generated by Panaya are basically the same as corrections that an experienced programmer manually performs using recommendations from Panaya.
• Panaya stays nonintrusive and does not require access to your system. Importing corrections to your SAP system is done only under your control, allowing you to review automated corrections and decide which of them to import.
• At this stage, Automatic Code Correction is offered only for version upgrade projects.

In addition, a new type of upgrade coding problem can now be detected by Panaya: use of obsolete tables. Obsolete tables do exist in ERP 6, but their content is no longer maintained by SAP standard transactions. Usage of these tables in custom code should be replaced with up-to-date counterparts.
