In this release we have added many features to ease the use of Panaya according to your feedback.
We sure hope you will enjoy the new functionality and as always, contact us for feedback, we will do our best to continue and promote the SAP Upgrade and Support Package automation and adjust it to your needs.
On January 10 Panaya released a new version of the Panaya SAP Upgrade and Support Package Automation solutions.
Highlights of the new version include:
- Single Sign-on
In earlier versions, if you used Panaya for more than one project, you had to use different usernames to log in to each project. In this release, you will have one username (your e-mail address) for all projects, with the ability to easily switch from project to project without having to sign out. A new link - Switch Project - was added to Panaya's application on the top right side of the screen. Press the link and choose the project to switch to.
- User Management
In earlier versions, when you needed to add new users or change users' permissions, you had to contact Panaya Support. In this release, we introduce the new User Management module, which will allow you to perform these operations - add users, manage permissions and more - by yourself. The User Management Manual will guide you through the new module. The User Management module is accessible from the Setup page.
- Task Assignment
In earlier versions, each new corrective task was assigned automatically by Panaya to the last SAP user who changed the source code. In this release, the Panaya username and the SAP user will be consolidated, and tasks assignment will display the Panaya username details and not those of the SAP user. This will allow the assignment of tasks to an actual project member. No changes will be made to existing accounts. The Task Assignment Manual will explain Panaya's new task assignment process.
- New Planning Report: Unassigned Tasks
A new report was added to the Planning View \ Project Planning reports: Unassigned Tasks. This new report displays all tasks that were not yet assigned to any user. It will help you throughout the duration of the project, especially during the task assignment phase, to validate that all tasks generated are assigned to a project member.
- Improved User Exit Problems Identification
In this release, Panaya will cover two additional potential problems related to User Exits:
- The removal of a parameter being used in the User Exit
- The nonexistence of a User Exit in the SAP upgraded version
For ongoing projects, Panaya will validate in the next analysis all User Exit tasks and will automatically close them if no problem is detected.
- Cloned Programs Source Code Comparison - Terminology Changed
For all Cloned Programs tasks, we provide a three-way comparison between your Cloned program and SAP Standard versions. We used Base and Target terminology to indicate the SAP program current version and the version to which you are upgrading. In this release, we will display in the Upgrade solution the SAP version name instead, for example: R/3 4.6C instead of Base and ECC6.0 instead of Target.
We hope you enjoy our new features and find them valuable.
