Dear Panaya Customer,
We thank you for your feedback on the Upgrade and Support Package Automation products. The issues you raise are important, and sharing them with us is essential to our process of increasing productivity for users of Panaya automation.
We also are proud to announce that Support Package Stack 16 Analysis is currently ready for our customers. Now you can easily evaluate the impact of upgrading to EhP4/SPS16: what will break down, how to fix it and what to test before you perform the EhP4/SPS16 installation. Furthermore, in response to your feedback, we have added many features in this release that will makeĀ Panaya even easier to use.
Highlights of the new version, to be released by Panaya on Nov. 1, include the following:
- SAP Enhancement Package 4 Automation/SAP Support Package Stack 16 Analysis
Whether you need additional functionality in your ERP system or the latest support package, now you can use Panaya to evaluate the impact of the transition: what will break down, how to fix it and what to test.
- Complex authorization fixes
Authorization consultants use Panaya to evaluate what will happen to the authorization roles after the upgrades. Now Panaya also supports derived authorization role analysis, allowing these consultants to find the exact role to be adjusted in the task activity. This solution guarantees smoother authorization maintenance in both upgrades and support packages.
Panaya's new mass edit feature enables you to scope support package/upgrade projects, assign multiple tasks to a team member or change usage level for a group of tasks, quickly and easily. Click here to see a short video showing how to scope the project. To use the mass edit feature, you must have a Panaya manager-authorization role.
- Improved identification of RFC call problems
Panaya identifies external systems interfacing with SAP that should be adjusted due to the support package/upgrade changes. In this release, Panaya eliminates calls that actually come from within the SAP ERP development, test or production systems.
- Advanced planning dashboard
Project managers can now slice and dice all tasks in the planning dashboard, whether they are open, closed or out of scope.
Panaya's new search engine enables you to quickly find tasks by name of object, such as program, IDoc, role, transaction and so on. The new search shows the ranked results in free mode or table mode.
- New realization report: Ready for Test
During the execution phase of a project, you might wish to see the list of tests on which the code corrections have been fixed. The new Ready for Test report enables this, helping the QA team start its tests sooner.
- New audit report: Tasks with Comments
If you need evidence of all the tasks completed, including all the comments registered in each task, you can use this report and add it to the project document kit.
- Changeable task usage level
In previous releases, the task field was read-only. Now you can change the usage level of any given task or group of tasks.
We hope you enjoy the new functionality and find these features valuable. As always, we rely on you to contact us at
