HOW WE USE INFORMATION COLLECTED SECURITY MEASURES Panaya employs the following security measures in order to protect information: 1. Site Domain Defense. The site networks are protected by multiple firewalls sourced from industry-leading security vendors. In addition, Panaya performs security audits - monitoring and analyzing firewall logs to proactively identify security threats. 2. Secure Site Operation. Panaya enforces tight operating system-level security by using a minimal number of access points to all production servers. We protect all operating system accounts with industry-standard, strong passwords and certificates. All operating systems are maintained at each vendor's recommended patch levels for security and are hardened by disabling and/or removing any unnecessary users, protocols, and processes. 3. Application Security. The application security model prevents unauthorized access. A user name and password combination - encrypted using SSL during transmission - strictly controls login processes. An encrypted session ID cookie is used to uniquely identify each user. This security model is reapplied with every request and enforced for the entire duration of each user session. 4. Communication Encryption. All data received by Panaya applications is encrypted with industry standard SSL certificate technology. 5. High Availability Safeguards and Disaster Recovery. Site safeguards to ensure high availability include independent power grids, UPS protection, backup generators, and redundant HVAC units. Moreover, Panaya has redundant system architecture, including multiple uplinks, redundant routers, switches, application, database servers and data stores.
